3 Day Weekend w/ Lodging, RV & Camping
WELCOMEto Rustic River Wedding & Venue
Enter our 10 acre venue through a half-mile of ancient forest and cedar groves, only to be inspired even further as it opens up to surround you by massive timbers, open fields, and over 900 feet of river frontage. A robust crystal clear creek also runs along our southern border, as well as the water canals that wind around the barn and throughout the venue itself. Our tranquil setting offers ample space, beautiful photo opportunities, and the perfect memories for your fairy-tale day.
Our 5,000 square foot barn has been standing tall (over 50′ actually) since 1899! All of the barn wood is the original wood it was built with, with the exception of the flooring, which we had to replace for safety reasons. We did replace it with the same tree family and size of the original floor in order to keep as much of the original look as possible. Naturally, this is one of our favorite features of the property and we are sure you will fall head over heals in love with it as well. The Barn also houses a covered, attached area for catering.
Take your first steps as a married couple, down our NEW 50′ pillar pergola! Made out of solid 10′ beams, it is strung with Edison lights, offers rustic archways, lit by the perfect lighting to set the ambiance for your fairy-tale wedding. You choose how to use the pergola: line your tables under the pergola for a very unique, classy dining experience; put your head tables under it; or use it for your ceremony and say your “I DO’s” under the grand arbor. The pergola is a staple at our venue and truly sets the scene for a romantic wedding ceremony place or as a perfect photo opportunity! The HUGE terrace yard area, that hosts the pergola, is perfect to hold your ceremony or reception, offering plenty of room for a large gathering of guests.
We knew the garden-turned-courtyard would be absolutely gorgeous for hosting wedding ceremonies and it most definitely is! At the east end of the garden, grape vines and hops droop down the arbor to reveal a peak-a-boo entrance for the bride, while the west end offers views of the river. Aligning the isle with church pews and wood benches, this courtyard is a beautiful setting that offers a close location to the bar and reception area. This ceremonial site can seat up to 200 guests with additional seating easily being able to be added on each side of the site to accommodate more guests.
The River's Edge
The scene from the Pend Oreille River’s edge is drop dead gorgeous, from dawn till dusk. Your wedding party and guests will never tire of this view. The boho arbor and log benches adds to your special day’s tranquil setting.
The 3-day over night package, allows you to further enjoy the true peace and relaxation the river has to offer. The beach and river make an elaborate background for your pre and post ceremony photos.
The Barn Out Back
This area is perfect for a ceremony or reception. The natural aging of the barn, along with the old rusty metal bridge gives the true look and feel of what Rustic is really about. Three rows of strung Edison lights offer a touch of elegance to give a nice finish to this area.
The Groomsman Cabin
From having it’s own private porch area out back overlooking the creek and beaver dams, to hosting a backgammon/poker table and vintage beer fridge; this one is sure to keep the guys entertained and allow the Bridal Party to tend to their own preparations for the day. Hosting a full bathroom with showering facilities gives the guys the freedom to enjoy the great outdoor activities and still have plenty of time to clean up without interrupting the bridal party or their private space. The inside gives a “man cabin” feel decorated with galvanized metal, deer heads and pine wood. It also has the original brick fireplace that keeps it’s 1917 cozy cabin vibe.
The farmhouse offers overnight lodging, as well as hosts the Bridal Headquarters. The Bride and Groom decide who stays in the house. It offers 3 bedrooms and a loft: offering 2 king and two queen size beds, creating sleeping accommodations for 8 in beds and several others on the futon, couches and cots. You are welcome to bring your own air mattresses as well. When you rent the facilities, you take the WHOLE house; you do not share it with the owners. The house is a full turn-key home; meaning we supply the basic necessities: dishes, towels, bedding, pots and pans, coffee pot, keurigwasher and dryer, dish soap, shampoos, soaps, etc.
*Any food/drink items will need to be supplied by the occupants.
School House Kitchen
This 1917 Schoolhouse was moved to the property from the Camp 1 Logging Camp Headquarters. It is said to have been one of the first schoolhouses in the area, hosting a one room school with a small area in the back where the teacher lived.
The historical building is used as the base camp for any caterers or friends and family wishing to serve food on site or make their own flower arrangements. This is a preparation kitchen and does not host any cooking equipment. It houses a commercial sized fridge, which will easily fit a wedding cake, flowers and/or several large dishes of food. It is furnished with countertops and cupboards offering ample space for you to spread out and create you masterpieces.
The back room displays our variety of signs, artificial flowers, log rounds, vintage bottle collection and several other decorations that are available to use for FREE.
*While we do not participate in any of the food prep or serving, we do have several chaffing pans, serving spoons and beverage dispensers available for use.
Centrally located on the property, the bar house is equipped with multiple fridges for all beverages, chest freezer for ice bags, serving counters on both sides of the building, and space for a full serving staff.
The Bar is limited to beer, champagne and wine. No hard liquor is allowed to be served on the premises.
There is plenty room for tents or sleeping out under the stars. Being this far out of the city, we often have crystal clear skies which makes for amazing star gazing opportunities! We do not have perfectly, well-groomed areas set aside for camping, or that would take away from the true camping experience. However, the forestry is very spaced out and there are plenty of camp spots, some right along the creek! There is also camping in the open area along the Pend Oreille River if you prefer to camp in the open near the bon fire and yard games.
We are in the woods, so keeping mind that we do get the occasional wildlife, as well as ticks and mosquitoes. Plan to pack mosquito spray just in case. Pack accordingly and have a secure place to keep any food items or put them in the School House Kitchen… bears are not cute or funny when they are looking for your food.
We had our wedding last weekend at Rustic River. The venue is gorgeous and secluded. It was such a blessing to have been able to book this place. We are a big camping/outdoor family and this venue met all our needs. We had 9 or 10 RV's along with tent campers and many others who stayed and "crashed" where there was room. And believe me there is plenty of that. Rache' and her daughter Katie made the weekend go so smoothly for us while we watched and waited to see what the weather was going to do. I give the ladies and the venue a 10!
What a fantastic wedding venue, not enough good things to say. Our daughters wedding was truly beautiful
I had my wedding here in July and let me tell you, it was a dream come true! The owners are amazing! They are so passionate about your wedding and to make sure all the details just fall into place. They have beautiful tables and chairs so you save on the rentals! Its a camping venue so you get more quality time with your guests and you have safe accomodations for those guests who have adult beverages. They have some decorations too! My wedding was so amazing and I'm still in love with every detail! The catering area was a perfect set up for our taco bar. I knew I loved this venue from meeting the owners at the bridal fair and then when i went to see it in person, it was even more amazing! My family had such a great time playing in the river, kayaking, playing on the swing set, we brought yard games to keep the adults entertained. There's even a fire pit! My wedding was so much more than I ever dreamed it could be. If you are still searching for a venue, check them out!
My sister and new brother in law recently got married here. I can not explain to you enough on to level of detail the owners go into to ensure your experience is one to remember. Beautiful view, right on the river, astonishing buildings including a gorgeous barn to hold your reception. Coming from a full time photographer's standpoint this venue is one of the best! Please give them a call if you are interested, you will not regret it.
These amazing ladies did everything then some to make our wedding day exactly what we wanted! Rache was there on my rehearsal dinner night to help with all the set up! I planned our wedding from three states away so i didn't get to see the venue until our rehersal dinner, but i told her my vision and she made it happen! She had the aisle set up exactly where & how i wanted it when i arrived Friday and the barn ready for me to decorate for my reception. They knew I was having a food truck cater the wedding so she helped my plan where they would set up to make sue it was easy access for my guests and close to the reception. She was so helpful and there whenever we needed anything, but not oer the top or in the way. They were very laid back and let my family come to the property multiple times before the wedding day to help plan things. There are too many amazing places to take pictures to even mention all of them. All my guests & bridal party have such a blast! It was so fun our DJ stayed till almost 1 am and kept the party going. Absolutely have your wedding or family event here!
If you're in need of a wedding venue, Rustic River Wedding & Venue is the absolute BEST! I was just married here and couldn't have dreamt of a better day. From the lovely ladies who are there to help assist in anything you need to make your dream day come true, to the MANY beautiful back drops available for whatever vision you wish, AND the cutest little farmhouse I've ever seen! I could go on and on, but you'll just have to see for yourself!
